From El Carmen Nuevo Le\u00f3n where he was born on March 12, 1920. His parents were Don Salvador Gonz\u00e1lez Gonz\u00e1lez and Do\u00f1a Mar\u00eda de la Luz Villarreal. He was the oldest of 10 brothers, remaining as head of the family when his father passed away.<\/span><\/p>\n

He completed his primary studies in the town of El Carmen having attended only until the 4th grade.<\/span><\/p>\n

His father worked for National Railroads of Mexico in the plaza of Nuevo Laredo Tamaulipas. For a time, 5 or 6 years, the family moved to that border town where they tried, for a while, to manage a restaurant, ice cream shop and hotel. They managed to collect some economic reserves and returned to El Carmen again, Don Gregorio coming with his father's commission to invest in something that occurred to him.<\/span><\/p>\n

At that time, Don Gregorio was just over 20 years old and started the pecan business, first with his family, sisters and brothers with manual breaking.<\/span><\/p>\n

Little by little he was hiring more people and buying machinery. His audacious concern and vision made him explore the US market, where he met a character in San Antonio that would be decisive for the growth of his business. It was Mr. William Martin, from whom he gained his trust and helped him to obtain more modern machinery, taking him to build the ships that the company now occupies, acquiring the machinery of the USA, becoming the first pecan processing plant in Latin America; by then, in the year 1950, Don Gregorio was only 30 years old.<\/span><\/p>\n

He married Andrea Lazcano Lazcano in the year of 1948 and had 3 children: Salvador, Rosalba and Gregorio.<\/span><\/p>\n

In those years, he acquired pecan orchards in Bustamante, later in Rayones Nuevo Le\u00f3n, as well as in Parras de la Fuente Coahuila.<\/span><\/p>\n

Once the plant began to work at full capacity, employing more than 100 workers, men and women; not only from El Carmen, but also from the neighboring municipalities of Salinas Victoria, Mina, Hidalgo and Abasolo, all in Nuevo Le\u00f3n.<\/span><\/p>\n

In 1957 he acquired a property in the municipality of Atotonilco State of Hidalgo. It was an ex hacienda named \u201cEl Zoquital de los herederos del Gral. Gravioto (compadre of General Porfirio Diaz)\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

The purpose of this plant was to supply customers from Mexico City and the center of the country. For this plant and the sale in Mexico D.F. his brother Antonio F. Gonz\u00e1lez was in charge.<\/span><\/p>\n

The operation of the El Carmen plant was commissioned by his brother Salvador Gonz\u00e1lez; while the administrative area was commissioned by his first cousin Dn. Felipe Villarreal Gonz\u00e1lez.<\/span><\/p>\n

Other relatives who collaborated with Dn. Gregorio in the business were: his brothers Ramiro, Jos\u00e9 and Mario, his sisters Haydee, Gloria and Mar\u00eda; as well as his cousins Ramiro, Francisco and Antonio Gzz. V. and brothers-in-law Gilberto Cant\u00fa, Antonio, Alejandro and Gilberto Lazcano Lazcano.<\/span><\/p>\n

Managing the pecan business on an industrial scale and exporting to the US by trucks. It allowed Diversifying their investments, first acquiring orchards and then cattle ranches in Nuevo Le\u00f3n, Coahuila, Tamaulipas and Veracruz.<\/span><\/p>\n

He relied on the rest of his brothers and first cousins for the supply of raw materials, locating them in different regions of the country's pecan products (Chihuahua, Parras, San Luis Potos\u00ed, etc.).<\/span><\/p>\n

He was a pioneer in introducing pecan varieties of paper shell in the garden of his property and supporting other producers of that time.<\/span><\/p>\n

Se hizo merecedor a recibir el reconocimiento al m\u00e9rito c\u00edvico tanto en el Carmen como en Los Rayones Nuevo Le\u00f3n gracias a su generosidad y actitud filantr\u00f3pica. En Rayones don\u00f3 terrenos para la construcci\u00f3n de jard\u00edn de ni\u00f1os, secundaria, preparatoria, centro de salud, entre otros, as\u00ed como aportaciones econ\u00f3micas.<\/span><\/p>\n

Don Gregorio Gonz\u00e1lez died on October 1st, 2004 being 84 years old, leaving a legacy of work to his family.<\/span><\/p>\n

The company Nueces y Pi\u00f1ones del Norte, S.A. of C.V. was left in charge of his daughter Rosalba Gonz\u00e1lez Lazcano; her husband, Dr. Gerardo Garza; and his sons Gregorio, Manuel and Rosana Garza Gonz\u00e1lez, who come to be the 3rd generation in the company working with great effort and dedication, aware of the responsibility and commitment inherited by their grandparents to keep the company updated, modernize it and, if it is possible, take it to another dimension.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
